What happens if I bring in an ineligible item?
Unfortunately, we can't accept items that are listed as ineligible on the cdsvic.org.au website. You will need to take these items with you and dispose of them in your general recycling bins through the Council collection.
I'm a restaurant, club or pub in Ballarat - can I get in on this action?
You sure can. We're about to launch a delivery/collection service to commercial customers. We'll launch this service in December 2023, but in the interim you can contact us here for more information.
And, I get my refund on the spot?
Yes. We provide cash refunds for all eligible containers returned to us.
But I heard I need to use a voucher to redeem my money at a supermarket..
A Reverse Vending Machine (the ones that look like shipping containers) provide customers with a voucher that they need to take to a supermarket to redeem their cash.
We provide cash on the spot.
