McCallum, as we are often referred to, is made up of a four pillars of disability support:
- Accommodation
- Day Programs (McCallum Community Connections)
- One-to-one support (McCallum Lifestyle Options)
- Employment (Social Enterprise)
More information on each of these areas can be found in the "Disability Support" navigation menu above.
Our Vision & Purpose
Vision: To fulfill the unmet needs of our community and enrich lives every day.
Purpose: We partner with our customers to create their best life.
McCallum's Social Enterprise has grown significantly over the years and now boasts a workforce of over 300 people with disability.
The Social Enterprise is made up of three business units.
Ballarat Regional Industries (BRI) was established in 1984 and is an important contributor to our regional economy providing a range of products and services to the Ballarat region.
BRI was formed to gain support for a Ballarat and District Community Industries sheltered workshop. In 1985 Ballarat Regional Industries Centre (BRIC) was opened in Walker Street, Sebastopol. BRI still operates its specialist packaging operations from this site today.
BRI and McCallum merged in July 2022 and work hand-in-hand to provide a growing range of disability employment options in Western Victoria.
